Russian jewelry industry’s gold consumption rises 37% in Jan–Jun
MOSCOW, Aug 26 (PRIME) -- Gold consumption of Russia’s jewelry industry rose by 37.24% on the year to 13.776 tonnes, or 442,900 ounces, in January–June thanks to a low base of April–June 2020, a representative for the Assay Chamber of Russia told PRIME on Thursday.
The Assay Chamber labeled 13.17 million jewelry products in the reporting period, containing 22.96 tonnes of pure gold.
